Families Like Us exists to support and encourage transracial adoptive and foster families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This group was born out of our desire to fellowship with other families “like us” so that our children have peers with which to celebrate the common bond of transracial adoption and fostering.
Our goal is to provide settings for parents to share stories, experiences, joys and trials and for our children to make lasting friendships. Families Like Us also hopes to educate and encourage families who want to find out more about adopting and fostering transracially.
As God has immeasurably blessed our families with a love that crosses racial boundaries, we pray that He will also use our families to promote racial unity among our community and beyond.
Families Like Us is under and supported by the Parenting Matters Ministry of The Hills Church of Christ.
